#ShelliSays. This hashtag was brought to my attention one day a couple of years ago. Apparently, several of my clients who were also friends were responding to some threads on social media and offering my counsel in response. “My therapist says it’s about empowerment.” “My therapist helped me change my story.” #Shelli Says. I was encouraged to know my counsel had taken root in their lives and created positive change. I was also encouraged to see them putting their truth out to the universe. So, I started writing in an effort to help as many people as I could. The result was this blog, Shelli Says.
You are what you THINK.
In my practice, I witness ALL kinds of heartache. As I witness their stories, I listen for what is not spoken. I am listening for the stories you are telling yourselves; for the lies you have been believing about yourselves as a result of these events.
No Smell of Fire
Have you ever experienced a campfire? Imagine for a moment you are there now. Take in the scenery, A crisp evening, the roasting of marshmallows, or hotdogs. If you are like me, you like to be right up close and center.
